ESRIC Start-up Support Programme #6
Open for applications
The ESRIC Start-up Support Programme (SSP) is the first incubation programme in the world fully dedicated to space resources utilisation. Designed for DeepTech and SpaceTech innovators, it helps early-stage ventures validate their technology, build a solid business case and connect with customers along the emerging in-situ resource utilisation (ISRU) value chain from Earth to orbit and onwards to the Moon.

Through SSP, ESRIC supports the development of solutions that will underpin a sustainable in-space economy while creating tangible terrestrial benefits in sectors such as mining, manufacturing, energy, agriculture and more.

Call for application
Our suppport programme offers the opportunity to join the first incubation programme exclusively dedicated to space resources utilization projects. Selected projects will have access to non-dilutive funding in cash for an amount up to €200,000.
Find out more about the different phases and how much funding you can unlock.
Who should apply?
SSP targets start-ups and early-stage ventures that:
Develop DeepTech or SpaceTech solutions relevant to space resources utilisation.
Offer technology that can serve both terrestrial and space markets, or plan to expand from one domain to the other.
Address challenges related to:
Power and energy systems for space missions
ISRU operations (prospecting, extraction, processing, storage, use)
Infrastructure and mobility for the lunar and cis-lunar economy
Enabling technologies for communications, sensing, and automation.
Relevant application fields include, among others: mining, energy and power systems, 3D printing and advanced manufacturing, agriculture, marine operations, satellite communications, Earth observation, and infrastructure for lunar and cis-lunar environments.
Application process
The call is open to small and medium-sized enterprises, incorporated no longer than 5 years ago. They must be in the Space Resources Utilisation field, with a terrestrial and/or space application.
During Phase 1 there is no need to be physically present in Luxembourg (remote)
During Phase 2 the selected start-up needs to be registered and located in Luxembourg with R&D transferred in Luxembourg for the project in scope
INTERESTED TO APPLY?
Through the programme, we aim to identify early-stage space resources ventures with near term business models (space and non-space activities), as well as build a consolidated space resources ecosystem and we are always eager to hear from the community.
Don't hesitate to reach out, we would be happy to discuss!
